Wyoming Seminary’s 2007-08 Annual Fund kicked off recently with a reception for campaign leaders and volunteers.

The Annual Fund campaign, chaired by Sem alumni David E. Schwager of Kingston, class of 1980, and Tara Mugford Wilson of Dallas, class of 1988, has a goal of $825,000 and runs through June 30, 2008. Because the cost of educating each student is not covered by tuition alone, Annual Fund dollars help make up a significant portion of the difference, helping the school meet day-to-day expenses and provide financial aid, equipment and academic programs.

More than 200 volunteers, students, faculty and staff are calling thousands of Sem alumni and parents throughout the United States from Oct. 14-18 and Oct. 21-25 during the annual Phonathon, one important part of the Annual Fund. Jennifer Eidam Davis of Trucksville, class of 1994, and Barbara Samuel Loftus of Swoyersville, class of 1973, are serving as this year’s chairs of the Phonathon.
