Wyoming Seminary's tenth president, Dr. H. Jeremy Packard, was honored recently at a portrait-unveiling ceremony at the Buckingham Performing Arts Center on the Upper School campus.

Members of the Sem community were in attendance as both Chairman of the Board of Trustees George B. Sordoni and current president Dr. Kip P. Nygren spoke about Dr. Packard. "Jere was selfless in his service to the school and we worked very closely for 15 years. His main concern was always about Wyoming Seminary and about the kids," said Sordoni.

The portrait was produced by acclaimed Pennsylvania portrait artist Jeffrey Martin, and will adorn the walls of the Stettler Learning Resources Center conference room along with the portraits of the nine previous Sem presidents.

Packard, who retired in July, served as Sem's president for 17 years. Also in attendance was Dr. Wallace F. Stettler, Wyoming Seminary's president from 1967 until his retirement in 1990. See photo below:

Wyoming Seminary has had only 11 presidents in its 163 years; three were in attendance at the portrait unveiling ceremony. From left to right: Dr. Kip P. Nygren, Dr. Wallace F. Stettler, and Dr. H. Jeremy Packard.
