Wyoming Seminary Announces Spring MVP Award Recipients

Wyoming Seminary Upper School Director of Athletics Karen Klassner recently announced Sem’s Most Valuable Players for spring sports played during the final school term.
Sophomore Jay Wieller of Allentown was named baseball MVP and senior Nicholas Fritz of Mercersburg received the Unsung Hero award for baseball. In boys lacrosse, Jacob Cole, a senior from Wilkes-Barre, was named MVP, and sophomore Benjamin Adrian of Dallas received the Most Improved Player Award. Senior Henry Maguire of Lewisburg received the Coaches Award.
In boys tennis, senior Ryan Barber of Kingston and junior Derek Kopen of Shavertown were recipients of the Coaches Award. In softball, senior Molli Grossman of Shavertown shared the MVP award with junior Emily Ruopp of Ewing, N.J.
In girls lacrosse, senior Amanda Maddalena of Howell, N.J. received the Coaches Award, while senior Alexandra Gordon received the Blue Knight Award for the player who best represents the program on and off the field. In girls soccer, Devon Gagliardi, a junior from Wilkes-Barre, was named MVP, while senior Erin Hannigan of West Pittston received the Coaches Award.
