Wyoming Seminary Lower School Eighth Grader Wins First Place in State Science Competition

Wyoming Seminary Lower School eighth grader Paine Fleisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Fleisher of Kingston, recently received a first place award at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science state competition in State College for his research on daphnia, the freshwater vertebrate.
Fleisher studied the effects of sucrose on the heart rate of daphnia. Fleisher also received the Dartt Edwards Prize for sportsmanship at the Lower School’s recent commencement exercises.
