Wyoming Seminary Lower School Welcomes New Teachers and Staff

Wyoming Seminary opened its 164th academic year by welcoming five new teachers and staff members to its Lower School in Forty Fort, where classes began August 28. The new faculty and staff members include:
Heidi Sims of Nanticoke, who joins the Lower School Admission Office as Associate Director after spending eight years at AEP Industries in Mountain Top as a human resources assistant. She is also an adjunct faculty member at the Hazleton and Wilkes-Barre campuses of Penn State University. Sims earned a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Wilkes University and a master’s degree in English from the University of Scranton.
Jane Harter of Dallas, a new part-time art teacher for third, fourth and seventh grades, graduated from College Misericordia with a degree in art and has completed graduate work at Marywood University. She recently retired as a teacher in the Wyoming Valley West school district.
Lisa Iskra of Wilkes-Barre, who teaches eighth-grade science, earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Wilkes University, where she is also pursuing graduate work in education. Iskra was a science teacher for over 13 years in local Catholic school systems, teaching elementary, middle and high school science courses.
Justin Naylor of Benton, a fifth- and sixth-grade math teacher, earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. He previously taught math, writing and Latin at Nativity Preparatory School in Wilmington, Delaware.
Deborah Chielli of Dallas, who joins the primary faculty working in the Lower School’s Little White House, earned a bachelor’s degree in biological science from Penn State University. For the past six years she’s been active in home schooling.
