Business Leaders of Tomorrow Club Holds First Meeting

Where will tomorrow's business leaders come from? Ask John Henry, the President of the new Buesiness Leaders of Tomorrow Club at Sem.

"We didn't have any business clubs at Sem," said Henry, "and I know a lot of my friends were interested in starting one." The club's main focus will be to teach students about business principles, learn about the stock market, and to hear from area business leaders.

The club has already scheduled special speakers for the fall term: Dr. Rob Seeley, Associate Professor of Economics at Wilkes University will speak about basic economic principles, Mike Weaver, Certified Financial Advisor with Berkshire Asset Management will speak on money management, and Tracy Lee Snowdon of Snowdon Funeral Homes will speak about basic business principles.

Other club activities will be an online stock market game, and a cell phone collection project to raise funds for local charities and for the club's future projects.
