Wyoming Seminary Announces National Merit Commended Students

Five Wyoming Seminary seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2008 National Merit Scholarship competition, said John Gordon, Dean of the Upper School.
The students are Benjamin Bell, Shavertown; Kevin Boyle, Kingston; Casey Klaips, Forty Fort; Ilya Volodarsky, Shavertown; and Oliver Williams, Kingston.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.4 million students who entered the 2008 competition by taking the 2006 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
