Middle School Sem Attire:  Fifth and Sixth Grade

Grade 5: Mandatory Sem Attire - as listed above, pre-kindergarten through fourth grade classes will inaugurate Sem Attire, and the fifth grade class will be included in mandatory Sem Attire as well. Click to download the fifth and sixth grade Sem Attire guidelines. Click here to download the Middle School Lands' End catalog item numbers.

Grades 7-8: Seventh and eighth grade students will follow a dress code that may include Sem Attire if you wish (but will not be mandatory). Sem Attire is not a single uniform, but rather is a selection of clothing pieces that a committee of primary and middle-school faculty, parents and administrators has chosen from the Lands' End catalog.

It might also be noted that there is a navy blue blazer that may be purchased through Lands’ End. Fifth and sixth graders would need a blazer for the winter and spring choral and band concerts, seventh graders would need a blazer only if they were participating in the musical ensembles, and eighth graders would need a blazer for music ensemble concerts, Holiday Tea and Graduation.  If your child needs a blazer for any of the aforementioned events, the one in the catalog (with no logo) might be of interest to you. Fifth-grade students will be allowed to wear dress sandals during the months of September and May, as will the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students.

Eighth Grade Students: For graduation attire requirements, check the Lower School Graduation page.
