Wyoming Seminary Lower School recently began offering its annual Educational Records Bureau (ERB) assessment tests online to students in grades 4 and 8, eliminating paper testing materials and reducing the time needed to score the tests and return results. ERB tests are given each year to Sem students in grades 3-8 as a way to assess their learning of English, reading, math and science during the school year. This year 75 students took the ERB tests on computers in the school’s computer labs. Over the next four years the school will give the test online to students in one additional grade until all students in grades 3-8 are taking the tests online. Seen during the ERB testing period are Hugh Hughes, chair of the Lower School Academic Technology Department, and Carolyn Foran, testing coordinator, who coordinated the new online testing procedures.
