ESL Options for Advanced Students
Advanced students are those who discuss - in English - everyday issues with relative ease. They can read and write non-technical material.
During the six weeks of the ESL Program, students whose language skills are sufficiently strong may audition for ensembles in The Performing Arts Institute, or they may take a course from The College Prep Institute curriculum labeled "ESL Friendly."
Advanced students also have the option to enroll in Writing About Literature, Public Speaking, Geometry - Proofs and Sequential Thinking. Some students undertake an Independent Study project under the guidance of the Summer at Sem director of studies. In the evening advanced students ages 16 to 18 may take TOEFL Preparation.
