Student Life at the Upper School

The Wyoming Seminary Upper School is a thriving, vibrant community that doesn't shut down after Bell 9. Both Day and Boarding students enjoy the rich fabric of Sem life that is made up of students from across the country and around the world, and of the many talented faculty that live right on campus with their families.

The multitude of activities planned at Sem help build friendships that last a lifetime - and give students an opportunity to learn from mentors that they come to know first as teachers, then as friends. Students have the opportunity to visit many local shops, stores and restaurants located in our town of Kingston, but can also take trips during the school year to the major cities (New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C.) within a few hours' drive of Sem.

Musicals, concerts, athletic events, art exhibits, and plays are only a few of the dizzying array of events regularly planned at Sem. Just some of the highlights of the school year include International Food Night, when students from around the world share the delicious cuisine of their native countries; Science Research Night, when Sem's budding scientists display their findings in the areas of robotics, forensics, physics, biology; and Society Day, when the school's four societies compete in fun events throughout the day to build teamwork and school spirit.

During their school career, with the help of their Sem family, students are free to learn about themselves, stretch their limits and realize their full and unique potential.
