Instrumental Program

For day or boarding students ages 12-18

6-Week Performing Arts Institute: July 9-29, 2017

Day Tuition $1450, Boarding Tuition $3600

Instrumental and jazz tracks are available, with crossovers into each division as needed. Through ensemble experiences, masterclasses, private lessons, theory instruction and advanced repertoire, students’ musical abilities will grow exponentially within weeks. Enjoy associating with peers and professionals who share common passions and support your goals.

Students gather daily for masterclasses where faculty instruct musicians and address specific topics. Discussions regarding proper breathing, recital repertoire, comparative recordings, sectional playing and baroque ornamentation inspire maturity. The setting provides a forum that reinforces learning.

"As a parent of a young cellist, it was very gratifying to hear him praise your program. PAI offered each student great personal attention and intense training in an environment conducive to hard work. Being exposed to true professionals and talented peers, along with the chance to play larger and more challenging works, helped the young musicians progress exponentially. More importantly, with the friendly and approachable counselors and diverse student backgrounds, PAI is a great place to make new friends."Ang Lee, film director
