For nearly two centuries, Wyoming Seminary, affectionately known as Sem, has educated young people guided by the principals of its motto Verum, Pulchrum, Bonum — to seek truth, appreciate beauty, and pursue goodness on campus and in life.

Among the nation’s oldest coeducational independent schools, Sem is deeply rooted in Northeastern Pennsylvania and enriched by students from across the country and around the world.

Three Campuses — One Sem

The Early Childhood Education Center, for toddler, preschool and pre-kindergarten, and the Lower School campus for kindergarten to Grade 8, are both located in Forty Fort,, Pennsylvania. The historic Upper School campus in Kingston brings together day and boarding students in grades 9 through 12 and a postgraduate year.

Sem offers a combination rarely found in one school: rigorous academics and extraordinary breadth; a close-knit community and a global perspective; deep tradition and an openness to reinvention. Students pursue meaningful opportunities in the arts, athletics, leadership, and service while building relationships with teachers, coaches, advisors, and mentors who know them as individuals.
