At Wyoming Seminary, we truly value the world that stretches beyond our campus. We respect our neighbors, care for the less-fortunate and do our part to help maintain a healthy and vibrant environment.
From our toddler program to our post graduates, the Blue Knights are instilled with a sense of global and community pride. Whether it be raising money for sick children, planting flowers, or painting fences, we see it as our responsibility to help in any way possible.
It’s the Sem way, because we care!
The Wyoming Seminary Upper and Lower School Environmental Clubs joined forces on April 22,2018 to celebrate Earth Day for a day of fun and awareness on the back campus at the Upper School.
The day was filled with games, crafts, treats, and educational information and facts on how we can help preserve and protect our environment. There were also trash bag races and a scavenger hunt.
Students from both divisions had a great time at the inaugural event! The Sem community makes every attempt to be environmentally conscious, but today was especially a fun day for the Blue Knights to go GREEN!
We are beyond thrilled to have raised $31,402.56 at this year's Sem Dance Marathon for the Janet Weis Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network.
Thank you to all of our donors and sponsors who helped make the 2018 SEM DM the most successful to date!
Our student body had a fantastic time dancing the night away, playing games, and sharing the event with our friends who benefit from the generosity of everyone who contributed to this great fundraiser.
We do it every year, FOR THE KIDS!
In Sept. 2017 students, faculty and staff combined our efforts for our 2nd annual Day of Service. The groups cleaned the entire riverfront at Wilkes-Barre's Riverfront Park, painted fences and put flags on graves in cemeteries just to name a few of the projects that we did within our community. One of our seniors led a team that made lavender-scented pillows and wrote notes to bring comfort and hope to local oncology patients.
