DIRECTOR OF DANCE
Founded in 1981, the Wyoming Seminary Dance Company is comprised of students from grades 6 through 12. Membership is open to all students regardless of their level of proficiency and is designed to give participants a rigorous, yet enjoyable dance experience grounded in technique and discipline but also offering a means for creative expression through movement.
In addition to classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and choreography, the Company prepares dance works created by faculty, alumni and upper level students from the dance program.
Every fall, many Company members dance in the school’s annual musical. Each May, the Company presents a full-length dance production performed in the Kirby Center for Creative Arts.
