Upper School Athletics

At Wyoming Seminary, we believe athletics are an integral part of a well-rounded education and school community. And although winning is sweet, we understand that true success is in the journey itself. All participants must follow Wyoming Seminary's Athletic Code, which strongly emphasizes integrity, sportsmanship and teamwork.

Sem's Upper School athletic legacy began building in 1866 with the formation of a baseball team and has since included the creation and development of more than 20 varsity teams. Most teams are Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) members with the exception of football, ice hockey, wrestling and rowing, each of which compete in more regional and national — and even international — contests.

Sem graduates have competed at the highest collegiate and professional levels including the Olympic Games and National Football League.

Through the guidance of coaches who are not only experts in their respective sports but also passionate mentors committed to developing athletes on and off the field, student-athletes can refine their skills, learn advanced strategies and foster a lifelong love for sports.
