Overview
Wyoming Seminary (Sem) played its inaugural competitive ice hockey season in 1992-93 and has since captured multiple league championships. The 2025-26 Blue Knights posted a 25-18 record, setting program records for both most wins in a single season (25) and most goals scored (187). The 25-26 season also features Sem's first player to reach 100 points: Hendrick McNulty achieved this milestone in his 66th game and went on to finish his career with a program-record 110 goals. The Blue Knights also broke the single-season game record when we reached 13 goals in a 13-0 win vs Kiski on February 4, 2026. The previous record was 12 goals in one game in the 2022-23 season.
Sem has developed alumni who have advanced to play professionally in the NHL, AHL, ECHL, and leagues across North America - including the OHL, QMJHL, USHL, NAHL, USPHL, EHL, BCHL, OJHL, and CCHL - as well as in various professional leagues throughout Asia and Europe. Many have also competed at the collegiate level in NCAA, U Sports, and ACHA programs.
At Sem, we believe a strong body drives strong performance. Our players benefit from personalized strength and conditioning programs, coupled with guidance on nutrition and overall wellness, to ensure they stay in peak condition throughout the season.

Nick Zaino - Head Ice Hockey Coach and Associate Director of Admissions
Nick comes to Sem with extensive experience as both a player and a coach. Nick played for several Junior teams, Fitchburg State University, and attended Wheeling Nailers main camp. After playing, he attended Marywood University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
After concluding his playing career, Nick transitioned into coaching, bringing the same drive and discipline to the bench that he demonstrated on the ice. From 2020 to 2024, he coached at the AAA youth hockey level, where he transformed the WBS Knights from an unranked team into the 62nd-ranked program in the nation. Most recently, Nick served as the Associate Head Coach for the Binghamton Buzz during the 2024–2025 season. In that role, he was responsible for practice planning and game-day operations. Under his leadership, the Buzz achieved a 25-game winning streak, captured the East Division Title, and finished the season with an impressive 42-8-1 record.
Along with his strong coaching record, Nick has been doing on-ice training since 2012. He has specialized in private, group lessons for players ranging from the Mite to the Junior levels.

Junior & College Exposure – With the WBS Knights Junior Program (USPHL Elite, USPHL Premier, USPHL NCDC) calling Revolution home, junior scouts and coaches are consistently present. Additionally, NCAA Division III King’s College Monarchs and ACHA Division II Scranton University Royals also train and compete here, ensuring regular exposure to college-level scouts and coaches.
Another facility that is integral to Wyoming Seminary ice hockey is across campus at the Pettebone-Dickson Student Center, which houses the weight room and the offices of athletic personnel like Strength and Conditioning Coach Dave Shultz.
