Soccer - Boys
Overview
The consistent success of Wyoming Seminary boys soccer is a testament to the dedication, hard work and mindset of our talented players and knowledgable coaches.
Year after year, Wyoming Seminary has demonstrated its prowess on the pitch. Sem is a 10-time District 2 champion (1985, '90, '01, '02, '14, '15, '18, '19, '20, 21) and has won eight Wyoming Valley Conference divisional titles in just the 21st century (2005, '12, '14, '15, '18, '19, '20, '22). In 2022, Sem had a 14-4-1 record and was first in WVC Division 2. Sem followed that in 2023 with an 11-6 record and District 2 Class 2A quarterfinal appearance.
As a college preparatory school with a significant amount of international students, Wyoming Seminary's roster often reflects the diverse nature of our student body. In 1984, the Sem boys soccer team achieved a diplomatic milestone when it played in China and was the first high school soccer team from the United States to tour the country.
The program's success is a result of carefully crafted training that fine-tunes the players' technical abilities and physical fitness, allowing them to compete at the highest level.
The coaching staff's mentorship goes beyond the game, as they instill lessons of discipline and teamwork that shape our players into well-rounded citizens of the world.
In addition to fostering a healthy and winning team culture, Sem's coaches prioritize the well-being and growth of every player and aim to inspire them to reach their full potential in athletics and academics.
