Kindergarten studies Australia

The kindergarten students in Mrs. Toni Loftus' class enjoyed Down Under adventures as they celebrated Australia Day. The day was filled with learning about Aboriginal art, listening to authentic didgeridoo music, and lunch on the barbie. The students also read a book titled "Koala Lou" by Australian author Me Fox, about a little koala who competes in the Outback Olympics. The kindergartners then paraded to the gym where they competed in their own Outback Olympics. They ran fast like emus, jumped like kangaroos, climbed like koalas, and "swam" like platypuses.
