Wyoming Seminary Lower School schedules March Open House

Students entering first through fourth grades and their parents who are interested in learning more about Wyoming Seminary Lower School, 1560 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, are invited to attend a Spring Primary Open House event on Sunday, March 24.

The Open House will run from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and will feature campus tours, information on the school's academic, arts, athletics and activities programs and opportunities to meet Lower School Dean Dr. Kathleen Hanlon and school faculty, as well as details about admission and affordability. Visitors are invited to use the front door entrance on Wyoming Avenue.

Wyoming Seminary is an independent co-educational college preparatory school that enrolls 821 day and boarding students from 18 states and 35 countries in grades toddler through 12, as well as a postgraduate year. The Lower School is a warm and welcoming place where a life-long love of learning is continuously cultivated. The Upper School offers about 160 courses and Advanced Placement courses in all major disciplines, preparing students for 22 AP subject exams. Sem's highly regarded fine and performing arts programs at both campuses offer vocal and instrumental music, theater, dance and visual arts opportunities.

Sem's outstanding college guidance staff works closely with students, beginning in the sophomore year, to help them identify and apply to colleges and universities. One hundred percent of Sem graduates attend college, and in 2018, 85 percent of the graduating class gained admission to "most," "highly" and "very competitive" colleges and universities.
