Northeast Pennsylvania's premier independent school

Orientation & Registration

Wyoming Seminary is a place that thrives off of its people. Students, faculty, staff, administration, parents, and alums all come together in celebration of The True, The Beautiful, and The Good as a part of this remarkable community. I am thrilled to welcome the newest group of Blue Knights into the fold as we kick off the 2021/22 school year with our Orientation & Registration week.

The registration process happens primarily online using the My Sem Portal. There you can fill out permission forms, upload important documents, and review all vital information before the start of school.

Orientation Week kicks off on Saturday, August 21st, combining both virtual and in-person programming for students and parents. From informative presentations to Q&A sessions to purely social gatherings, this week is our way of rolling out the red carpet to our VIPs - all of you! I encourage you and your family to attend as many of the sessions as possible to see all the amazing things Wyoming Seminary has to offer. You can see the full schedule of events below.

So once again, welcome to Wyoming Seminary. Here's to a spectacular school year!

Hear about Wyoming Seminary's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion from both faculty and students, including the organizations on campus in which students can participate.

Welcome to Sem! Join us for an activities fair, campus tours, and drop ins with the grade level deans with school starting just a few days later! Individual events for students and parents will follow.

Student led and for students only, come join your peers for lawn games and other activities to help break the ice.

All new day students are invited to campus to meet their peers, hear from some returning day students, and get their questions answered in this primarily student run session.

All new domestic boarding students are invited to campus to meet their peers, hear from some returning domestic boarders, and get their questions answered in this primarily student run session.

Get to know the area surrounding campus while competing in a fun photo scavenger hunt! Boarders will get to see the best shops and restaurants in town while also learning the approved walking area from campus.

Get ready for an amazing day! All freshman and sophomore students will travel to Camp Orchard Hill for the day, participating in team building exercises, ice breakers, low ropes activities, and thrilling activities like zip lines, rock climbing walls, and a giant swing. The day also includes ample free time to enjoy the fields, trails, pool, and lake (including boating and blobbing!) while reconnecting with old friends and getting to know new ones!

Students should plan to wear comfortable clothes and athletic footwear, along with a change of clothes and a towel if going in the pool or lake. Sunscreen and bug spray are highly encouraged. Lunch will be provided.

All new juniors, seniors, and PGs are invited to this special retreat designed just for you. Along with some returning students, you'll enjoy a fun afternoon activity away from campus.
