The drive will end on Wednesday, February 26, with all boxes being collected on that date. Any questions can be directed to Mr. Plaksa, Lower School Coordinator, at
FIRST GRADE FISH TALES MUSICAL
Last week the first-grade students highlighted their study of the ocean with their delightful production of "Fish Tales," a charming musical that tells the story of the first day of school for a group of young undersea students. The students learn all about friendship and helping others through challenges. Nothing fishy about this lively performance of catchy tunes!
EARLY CHILDHOOD CONFERENCES
Reminder: Children in our toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten class WILL have school the days of conferences, which are scheduled as follows:
ERB Assessment Test - Dates for Grades 3-7
ERB assessment tests will be administered in March - April, 2020. All Lower School students in grades 3 through 7 will be taking the ERB tests online.
FIRST GRADE - UNITED WAY BOOK DRIVE
The first-grade classes are partnering with the United Way of Wyoming Valley to promote literacy. Donations of new or gently used books may be dropped off in designated boxes in the Lower School. Please open for more information. Thank you for your support.
LEGO DAY AT LOWER SCHOOL
Colorful activities were all the rage at Lower School last week. Students in grades kindergarten through eighth visited the Sordoni Library on Tuesday (National LEGO Day) and the rest of last week and built amazing creations using LEGOs. Studies show that LEGOs improve a wide range of mental aptitudes such as spatial intelligence and hand-eye coordination. And they are fun for all age groups. The LEGOs Group has made LEGO bricks since 1949 and the fun has never stopped!
Wyoming Seminary Bash and Auction!
Save the date for the Wyoming Seminary Bash and Auction, Friday, April 24, 2020. We hope everyone will get involved in this exciting event and there are many ways to help out before the big event. Sponsorship opportunities are available at three levels, click here to learn more about those. We are looking for item donations for the online auction that will start the week before the event.
