LOWER SCHOOL UPDATE Dress Down Day - November 20 We are thankful for the Lower School community! As one small token of this appreciation, we will have a dress down day this Friday, November 20. Enjoy the day!
As was announced on Friday, November 13, we will enter a period of virtual learning on Monday, November 30. We are scheduled to return to in-person instruction on Monday, January 18. Please note the following: Current Virtual Students Students who chose virtual as their learning platform at the beginning of the year will not see any change to their experience. Toddler and Preschool While Toddler and Preschool will not have formal programming, Ms. McCann and Mrs. Kilyanek are planning ways to keep the students engaged and connected. Pre-Kindergarten - 4th Grade Teachers will be sending home schedules by the end of this week. Also, they will be sending supplies and materials home with the students for use during the virtual learning period. Information on how to access the learning platforms will be provided as well. Primary students will still have their specials classes at their normal time each week. Middle School We will be maintaining our current middle school schedule. Students should already be familiar with accessing their various Google classrooms. We will be distributing winter schedules to middle school students this week so that they are aware of their new term courses.
Virtual Learning Handbook Link Thanks so much for your partnership and cooperation - please be in touch with any questions. CHILDREN & YOUTH GIFT PROJECT Students in Grades 4 through 8 have been given the opportunity to provide gifts to a less fortunate child. If participating, your student would have selected a child's name with a few gift ideas to take home to you. The gifts should not exceed $25.00 and should be returned to his/her homeroom by Friday, November 20. Please use gift bags, gift boxes with lids that can be removed, or clear cellophane with ribbon but do not wrap gifts with paper. In-person students should bring them to homeroom while virtual families can drop theirs off in the Main Office.
We realize that this is short notice so if you are unable to send in your gift by this Friday, the Main Office will be open the week after Thanksgiving. Gifts can be dropped off between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday (November 30) or Tuesday (December 1). Alternatively, please contact the office (jkatra@wyomingseminary.org or asirak@wyomingseminary.org) for other options.
Thank you for all your efforts to ensure that these children enjoy a Happy Holiday by receiving a gift this year.
