UPDATED HEALTH PROTOCOLS
Dear Parents, Faculty and Staff,
As we prepare to return to in-person learning on January 18, please review these health and safety protocols. Please contact me with any questions.
*Face masks are required to be worn by all students, faculty and staff. Masks must fit snugly around the chin and nose. Gaiters and shields are not acceptable. You can wear a shield with a mask for extra protection.
*No one is allowed to enter the school without a face mask on.
*It is required that all students, faculty and staff complete the Symptom Tracker DAILY before coming to school.
*If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, you must quarantine for 10 days after the last contact with the person who tested positive. You can get tested after day 7 of quarantine and may return to school/work with a negative result.
*If you test positive for Covid-19 you need to quarantine at home for 10 days. In addition, you may not return to school/work until your symptoms resolve.
*If someone living in your home tests positive for Covid-19, you are required to begin your 10 day quarantine when the person who tested positive ends their quarantine. You can get tested on day 7 of your quarantine. If during your quarantine someone else tests positive in the home, you will need to restart your quarantine once the newly infected person ends theirs.
*If you are waiting for Covid-19 test results, you should self-isolate in your home until the results are available and start to develop a list of potential close contacts.
*If you travel for any reason during the winter term, it is required that you quarantine for 10 days upon return or have a Covid -19 test on day 7. If this test, taken on day 7, is negative, you may return before the 10 days. This includes students who travel with club sports.
*No student, faculty or staff member should be in school if they are exhibiting symptoms including fever, persistent cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, chills, new loss of taste or smell, or diarrhea. For complaints of headache, abdominal pain, congestion, muscle aches, or fatigue, please send the student to the nurse's office for assessment.
*If a teacher, staff member, or student is exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19, any siblings or parent employees must remain out of school until cleared by their Primary Care Provider. A note from the PCP is required to return to school.
*After School Activities: Students participating in LOCAL after school activities should be masked, practice social distancing and perform frequent hand hygiene. These mitigation measures are vital to maintaining the health and safety of our community.
It is everyone's responsibility to monitor social distancing, mask-wearing and hand hygiene. These (3) important measures collectively have been proven to be effective in the fight against Covid-19.
Thank you for your cooperation.
