Grade 8 - UPDATE Hershey Park Field Trip on May 13
On Friday, May 13th, the 8th grade class will be going on a field trip to Hershey Park. The weather looks remarkably better than last Friday! Please note the following important information about the day: 1. Students should arrive to school at REGULAR time. Students will attend the Spring Athletics Assembly before boarding the bus for Hershey Park. This is a change from last week's plan. 2. Hershey Park is CASHLESS. Each student will need to bring a prepaid Visa gift card with them. Admission to Hershey Park has already been purchased by the school. However, students will need spending money for lunch, dinner, and any souvenirs they wish to purchase. 3. No outside food or drink is allowed inside Hershey Park. However, students may bring drinks and snacks for the bus ride. 4. Students may wish to bring a small daypack with sunscreen, sunglasses, and/or a hat. The Boardwalk (waterpark) will not be open, so students do not need to bring swimsuits. 5. Students will return to the Lower School at 6:45 p.m. 6. Students may dress down for the day.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. We are again looking forward to a fun day together as we finish the school year!
Stay well, Ali alott@wyomingseminary.org |
LETTER FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE
Dear Families, As many of you know, Covid cases have been rising in our area. Please consider having your child wear a face mask to school through this current wave.
If anyone in your family tests positive for Covid-19 or is a close contact of anyone who tests positive for COVID-19, please notify the health office immediately at (570) 407-0409.
Please follow up with your child's pediatrician if he/she has symptoms including: fever, chills, body aches, cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of taste or smell.
If you are testing your child for Covid with an antigen home test, you may need to test your child for several days after the onset of any symptoms before you get a positive result. Usually this is a day or two after the onset of symptoms, such as a sore throat or fever. .
A reminder to please not send your child to school sick. As you know, Covid is highly contagious. If your child is returning to school with residual symptoms such as a cough or nasal congestion, we remind you that wearing a mask is allowed and advised. As always, thank you for your cooperation and be in touch with any questions.
Thank you,
Carol Kollar RN, BSN LS nurse

| KINDERGARTEN FIELD TRIP
Kindergarten students took a trip to Animal Adventure in April, where they were able to interact with some of the many animals they learned about throughout the school year. They saw lions, and tigers, and capybaras, OH MY! Everyone enjoyed a great day exploring at the zoo and discovering exotic animals in real life. |
