Travel Policy

We are very excited to welcome students to campus for the 2023-2024 school year! Please find information on travel arrangements and nearby transit for school arrivals and departures below.

Here are the travel distances to campus from local airports and bus stations:

30 minutes - 1 hour to campus
Scranton Bus Station (Greyhound, Martz-Trailways)
Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE)

2 hours to campus
Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

3-4 hours to campus
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

Arranging for students to arrive as close to campus as possible on routine travel allows us maximum flexibility in the case of unforeseen circumstances.

On approved travel dates, we will continue to help arrange for transportation to and from destinations within 2 hours from campus for students.

We will also run a JFK shuttle for international flights on the following dates and times:

Students should plan to arrive at least two hours prior to shuttle departure at JFK. Students should allow for at least four hours of transit time plus three hours of check-in time for flights departing from JFK.

While we try to accommodate last-minute requests, shuttle spaces are limited and should be reserved a minimum of three weeks in advance with the Director of Residential Life (reslife@wyomingseminary.org).

The fee schedule on approved travel dates for transportation is as follows:

  • Under 15 minutes – Free
  • 30 minutes - 1 hour – $30 per person
  • 2 hours to campus – $125 per person
  • JFK Shuttle – $200 per person

Students should plan to arrive on campus before the dormitories close at 11 p.m.

Travel requests should be submitted to the Director of Residential Life three weeks in advance of departure. Any changes after this date may incur additional charges. Information can be sent directly to reslife@wyomingseminary.org.

We are always happy to help students find safe travel plans to campus. However, we cannot guarantee school-arranged transportation outside of approved travel dates, times or areas.

Cancellation Policy for Travel Over One Hour to Campus
School-arranged travel further than one hour to campus canceled fewer than 48 hours to departure will be charged in full. School-arranged travel further than one hour to campus canceled less than a week in advance will be charged at 50%.
